Why Haven't Aliens Contacted Us Sooner? Relationship and Readiness

“Why haven't aliens contacted us sooner?” can mean two different things: why public contact has not been independently confirmed, or why a relationship described in spiritual teachings has not become openly shared. Science has not established an answer about alien intentions. My spiritual perspective explores the second question through relationship, free will, and the capacity to receive without surrendering ourselves.

Within that perspective, the story begins with an ongoing connection rather than a sudden arrival. I hold the idea of a longstanding extraterrestrial presence as a spiritual belief, not an established historical fact. The important question becomes: what kind of relationship could help us grow?

Have extraterrestrials already been communicating through channels?

Darryl Anka's official Bashar website dates his public channeling of Bashar to 1984: more than forty years of publicly shared material. The site presents Bashar as an extraterrestrial being communicating through Anka. That description establishes what the teaching claims, not independent confirmation of its source. About Bashar

For people who accept that account, communication has already been taking place. They may therefore ask why it has not become a wider, openly acknowledged relationship. For someone who does not accept the account, the unanswered question remains whether the communication is extraterrestrial at all. We can recognise that difference without requiring either reader to pretend to agree.

If you encounter a short clip on TikTok or Instagram, seek the original session and context before drawing conclusions. Forty years of teaching does not mean forty years on those platforms, nor does a widely shared clip verify a claim. The official Bashar website provides a starting point for exploring the material directly.

Why would relationship matter more than arrival?

Think about your relationship with nature. You can walk past a tree every day without noticing much. Once you pay attention to its seasons, the birds it shelters, and the conditions it needs, your relationship changes. You might begin protecting its roots or caring for the surrounding habitat.

You are transformed by attention; the living environment can benefit from the care that follows. Reciprocity does not require claiming that the tree thinks exactly as you do. It requires recognising that your actions affect a life beyond yourself.

This is the kind of relationship I imagine in the galactic-family perspective. The purpose would include learning how to meet one another, share responsibly, and understand the effects of contact. An arrival alone could not do that work for us.

Could contact depend on our relationship with ourselves?

Receiving unfamiliar information is easier to navigate when you can notice your own reactions. Am I curious? Frightened? Hoping someone will make every decision for me? Trying to impress a group? These observations help you meet a message without losing yourself in it.

In my language, growing consciousness means developing this capacity for awareness and discernment. Within the spiritual model I am exploring, a benevolent civilisation would allow time for that capacity to develop so contact could become cooperation rather than subjugation. There is no verified consciousness threshold or established galactic rule governing contact.

Readiness also includes allowing yourself to recognise your passion and joy. What feels alive and meaningful to you? What do you want to create or understand? Having a relationship with these questions gives you something of your own to bring.

Bashar's formula offers one approach to turning that inquiry into action. You can find its complete five-step paraphrase in Are extraterrestrials here to help us?. Explore it through ordinary choices before making sweeping claims about what it proves.

Galactic family: brothers and sisters, with something to share

An older sibling may be further along in some areas. That does not make the younger sibling's laughter, imagination, or life less precious. Experience can be shared; worth does not need to be earned through technical accomplishment.

The same principle belongs in the relationship I envision with extraterrestrials. Greater knowledge would be a contribution to the relationship, not a title to ownership of it. Humanity would bring perspectives that emerge from living here: our languages, music, ecosystems, difficult lessons, and very personal ways of finding joy.

Do not belittle what you bring. Your sincere question, your kindness, and the thing you love making are part of a life no other person can live for you. You do not need to become someone else to deserve a place at the table.

What would patience and respect for free will look like?

In my spiritual understanding, the soul has absolute freedom of choice. Applied to relationships, this conviction asks us to respect each person's right to participate, pause, refuse, and reconsider. It does not give anyone permission to override another person's boundaries.

Within the contact scenario I imagine, help would be offered in ways people could understand and freely receive. Claims that extraterrestrials are waiting for consent belong to that belief framework; we do not have independently verified rules describing how planetary consent would work.

Where a proposal affects everyone, my ethical ideal is that everyone affected has a meaningful voice. I would not call something universally welcomed while people were being compelled to accept it. At the same time, one person's refusal need not stop another from privately reading a teaching or pursuing their own reflection.

The practical test is straightforward: can you say no without being threatened, shamed, or called less evolved? Patience makes room for a real relationship.

Does this tell us when open contact will happen?

No. This interpretation does not establish an arrival date or explain the intentions of beings whose presence has not been verified. NASA's public UAP information does not identify UAP as extraterrestrial. NASA UAP FAQs

You can still practise the qualities you would value in contact: honesty, curiosity, cooperation, and the ability to disagree respectfully. Those capacities already enrich your relationship with yourself, other people, and Earth. Their value does not depend on a prediction coming true.

Questions about earlier contact and readiness

Why haven't aliens contacted us sooner if Bashar has spoken for decades?

Bashar's public channeling history and independently confirmed extraterrestrial contact are different claims. Those who accept the channeling account may see it as an existing relationship. Its extraterrestrial origin has not been independently established.

Does humanity need to become perfect before contact?

Perfection is not the standard I am proposing. The useful qualities are curiosity, discernment, responsibility, and respect for choice. Nobody becomes less worthy because they have doubts or difficult emotions.

What can I do now to feel more ready?

Develop relationships that keep your agency intact. Notice what brings you honest joy, take a responsible next step, and practise listening without automatically agreeing. Keep factual claims open to checking.

A personal invitation from Mathieu Sun

I, Mathieu Sun, have been listening to these teachings, especially Bashar's, for years. Throughout that time, my approach has been observation and discernment, with truth as my guiding concern. I listen to the words, notice the energy I experience in them, and examine the thinking and actions they encourage. A relationship with a teaching develops through attention, reflection, and lived experience.

I seek the most positive energy and the most constructive, life-serving definitions I can find, while remaining faithful to truth. Definitions shape how we perceive an experience and the possibilities we see within it. A positive definition should help us see more clearly, with room to acknowledge difficulty and revise our understanding. My felt response is part of my observation; factual claims remain open to checking.

If you have questions, you are welcome to call me or send me a message, even simply to talk. You do not need to agree with me. I welcome a conversation directed towards truth, with openness, positive energy, and respect for your own discernment. Contact me through my website.
