How an Energy Practitioner Helps Empaths Release What Isn't Theirs

How an Energy Practitioner Helps Empaths Release What Isn't Theirs

An energy practitioner helps empaths by clearing, from the outside, what they cannot easily clear alone: emotions, stress and heaviness absorbed from other people and places. In the Jnana Kanda approach, the practitioner is a channel, not a source — the session follows purification, realignment with nature and the transmission of sacred energy, so what isn't yours is released and your own energy returns to its place. Most people feel lighter, calmer and more themselves, often from the first session.

Empaths are often the ones who help everybody else. They listen, they hold space, they carry. And when they are exhausted, they rarely know where to turn. One of the gentlest ways to receive support is an energy session with a practitioner who understands sensitivity from the inside.

Why empaths can't always clear themselves

Daily habits — water, grounding, breath — are essential. But when you have been absorbing for years, some layers are hard to reach from the inside. It is like trying to see the back of your own head. A practitioner offers a neutral, clear field in which your system can finally let go.

A channel, not a source

In the Jnana Kanda lineage of Grand Master Mahaguru Mangku Alit Ajna, the practitioner never gives their own energy and never takes the client's. I become a channel for sacred energy that is far greater than me. That is important for empaths: you don't leave carrying my energy, and I don't leave carrying yours. What isn't yours is dissolved; what is yours is restored.

“What you receive here is not taught; it is transmitted.”

What happens in a session

  1. Welcome: we talk briefly about how you feel and what you want to release. You share only what you wish.
  2. Purification: the first movement clears what has accumulated in your field, in the spirit of melukat, the Balinese water purification.
  3. Realignment: your system is gently brought back into alignment with nature and with your own centre.
  4. Transmission: sacred energy flows through, and the nervous system settles into deep rest.
  5. Integration: a few quiet minutes, a glass of water, and simple advice for the days ahead.

You stay fully clothed, lying or sitting comfortably. Many people feel warmth, tingling, waves of emotion or a profound calm. Some fall asleep. There is nothing to do and nothing to achieve.

What empaths notice afterwards

  • A lighter body and a quieter mind.
  • Clearer boundaries: other people's moods feel less invasive.
  • Deeper sleep in the nights following the session.
  • A return of joy, creativity and appetite for life.
  • The feeling of being themselves again.

How to choose the right practitioner

Look for someone calm, grounded and humble, who explains clearly what they do, never promises miracles, respects your pace and never pressures you into buying more. A good practitioner also reminds you that energy work is complementary to medical care, not a replacement. You can read more in What Is Jnana Kanda?.

Frequently asked questions

Does an online session work as well?

Yes. Energy is not limited by distance. Many of my clients abroad receive sessions by Zoom and feel the same depth.

How often should an empath have a session?

Often two or three sessions a few weeks apart to release the old load, then whenever you feel the need — for many, once every one or two months.

Can I learn to do this myself?

Yes. Jnana Kanda is also transmitted to students in a two full-day in-person masterclass, with a daily practice for self-clearing. See learning Jnana Kanda.
