Stop Absorbing Negativity: Simple Ways Sensitive Souls Can Protect Their Peace

Stop Absorbing Negativity: Simple Ways Sensitive Souls Can Protect Their Peace

You stop absorbing negativity by making your own peace stronger than the negativity around you. Start the day grounded, choose what you let in (people, news, screens), listen with compassion without taking the problem home, return to nature often, and clear yourself every evening. Negativity sticks to a field that is tired and unanchored; it slides off a field that is rested and aligned. In the Jnana Kanda tradition, regular purification and connection to sacred energy keep that peace steady.

A negative comment, a complaining colleague, a tense phone call, a stream of bad news. For a sensitive soul, each one leaves a small mark — and by the end of the day, the marks add up to a heavy heart. You don't have to live like this. Peace can be protected, and it can be simpler than you think.

Why negativity sticks to sensitive people

Negativity has a strong, dense frequency. When your field is tired, anxious or unanchored, that density easily finds a place to settle. When your field is rested, grounded and connected to something higher, it slides off, like water on a lotus leaf. The aim is not to fight negativity. It is to strengthen your peace.

“Be like the lotus: rooted in the mud, untouched by it.”

Seven simple ways to protect your peace

  1. Morning roots: two minutes of feet on the floor, belly breathing and one sentence of intention before any screen.
  2. Choose your inputs: no news before breakfast or after dinner; unfollow accounts that leave you heavy.
  3. Conscious listening: when someone complains, listen with your heart open and your hand on your belly — compassion without absorption.
  4. Kind boundaries: “I hear you. I don't have space to go deeper today.” Peace sometimes needs a clear sentence.
  5. Nature every day: the sea, a tree, the sky. Nature's frequency is the most powerful reset there is.
  6. Gratitude at night: name three good things from the day. It retunes the field before sleep.
  7. Water clearing: a shower with the intention of letting the day go. In Bali, this is the spirit of melukat.

Your home as a sanctuary

The Balinese place small offerings every day to keep homes in harmony. You can do your version: fresh flowers, a candle, open windows, soft music, a clear space. When your home holds peace, it recharges you every time you return.

When negativity has already settled in

If you feel you have been carrying negativity for a long time — heavy thoughts, pessimism that isn't like you, a sense of being weighed down — a session can clear it at a deeper level. As a channel of the Jnana Kanda lineage of Grand Master Mahaguru Mangku Alit Ajna, I help release what has settled and reconnect you to the sacred energy that is your natural state of peace. You can also discover the path of learning Jnana Kanda if you want to carry this practice in your own life.

Frequently asked questions

Is protecting my peace the same as avoiding problems?

No. Protecting your peace means meeting problems from a clear, calm place — which makes you far more able to help.

What if I live or work with a negative person?

Daily grounding, clear boundaries, time in nature and regular clearing are essential. A session can also help you stop carrying their weight.

How fast can I feel more peaceful?

Often within days of practising these habits, and immediately after a session for many people.
